This district in Maharashtra is my native place. We are in the Khed Taluka.
September is good peroid to visit this area. This is the festival time and most people are back to village for Ganpati Utsav. My village is not on the tourist map of Maharashtra. But the natural beauty here is really superb. Lush green farms, river for swimming, forests for trekking, everything is here.No pollution at all.
Our village is full of religious old fellows. Except for the festive season, almost all of the earning members work in Mumbai city. Without them, the village appears really dull. But September and April is the fun time to be there.
